Local author John Claude Bemis will from and sign copies of his new novel for children, The White City, the third book in the Clockwork Dark trilogy, which Booklist calls “a steampunk collision of heroes, mermaids, pirates, and good old-fashioned Americana.” It follows The Nine Pound Hammer and The Wolf Tree, Bemis’s two previous books in this series.
