Katharine Ashe, Ph.D. is the USA Today bestselling author of the acclaimed Devil’s Duke series. She is a professor of European history and popular culture and writes fiction with a focus on historical romance. She co-founded and runs Duke’s UNSUITABLE Speakers Series about women, history, and popular fiction. She is also the convenor and moderator of Facebook’s Feminist Romance Book Club. She grew up in Philadelphia, graduated from Duke, and lives with her family in the Triangle.
Katie Rose Guest Pryal, J.D., Ph.D. is a novelist, freelance journalist, and erstwhile law professor in Chapel Hill. Guest Pryal earned her Master’s in creative writing from Johns Hopkins and she teaches creative writing through Duke’s OLLI program. She is the author of the Hollywood Lights Series and works as a writing coach and developmental editor when she’s not writing her next book. Her new collection of essays, "Life of the Mind Interrupted: Essays on Mental Health and Disability in Higher Education," was published this year by Raven Books.
