Many of the worlds biggest problems—climate and energy crises, nuclear proliferation, the threat of global pandemic—are scientific in nature. But despite the fact that we now have a science-friendly President and administration, there is a growing disconnect between the scientific community and average Americans that fosters mistrust and misunderstanding.
