Grey Brown and Debra Kaufman will read from and sign copies of their new poetry books, What It Takes (Brown) and The Next Moment (Kaufman).  Brown—“a wonderful poet with a strong talent for rendering the sensations, immanences, and strangenesses of childhood,” — (writes Fred Chappell) is the literary arts director for the Health Arts Network at Duke.  Playwright/poet Kaufman—“her poetry creates a world, and reveals a world-view for which family history is a lens as much as a subject,” writes Gregory Donovan—is a founding member of the Black Socks poetry group.
