Sheriff Walt Longmire follows a murderer into the icy hell of Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, with Indian mysticism and a battered paperback of Dante’s Inferno as his only guides. Johnson has received the Western Writers of America Spur Award for Fiction, as well as the Mountains and Plains Booksellers Award for Fiction.
