In this theatrical spoof of poetry and poets, the American Poetry Alliance will offer readings by five nationally acclaimed poets: A. Tad Strange, a French moose warden; Zanzibar “Buck Buck” McFate, the manly poet who writes of chainsaws and scrotums (but not in the same poem); Lester Scoggin, a licensed major appliance service technician from Tallapoosa, Georgia; Dr. Emily Norcross, an extremely tenured professor of women’s studies at Manfrey College; and Dalmatian toadflax, a noxious weed. The poets will be accompanied by their obnoxious publisher, Nadine Sobolevitch. And for the opening act, hear John Denver and Peter, Paul and Mary songs performed by Will and Asia.
