This ongoing discussion series focuses on mysteries. The selection this month is The Ice House by Minette Walters, winner of the CWA John Creasey Award for Best Debut Crime Novel. “Walters’ zinger of a debut deftly dissects the lives of three reclusive English women who become the subject of censure and speculation during a murder investigation.” The series is facilitated by Judy Dearlove, who has called Durham home for over three decades. A passionate reader, she has also taught literature at several local colleges, including Duke, Meredith, and Elon. Currently, she is engaged in the mysterious process of writing a novel.
