Dan Heath will talk about the new book he’s co-authored, Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard.  Bringing together decades of counterintuitive research in psychology, sociology, and other fields to shed new light on how we can effect transformative change, Switch shows that successful change follows a pattern, a pattern you can use to make changes that matter, whether it’s in changing the world or changing your waistline.  The presentation will be followed by a book signing and reception.  Free and open to the public.  RSVP to www.caseatduke.org/events
Start: 7:00 pm
Duke biologist and environmental scientist Rob Jackson will read from and sign copies of his new children’s poetry book, Weekend Mischief.  Written from a young boy’s perspectives, the twenty wily and whimsical poems ponder the question: Why does the weekend go so fast?  Jackson is also the author of a previous children’s poetry book, Animal Mischief, and a book of essays on global environmental problems, The Earth Remains Forever.
