Musician and musicologist Ned Sublette will discuss and sign copies of his new book, The Year Before the Flood: A Story of New Orleans.  In this blunt, eloquently humane and musically astute memoir, Sublette offers his “unorthodox insights about race, crime, history, politics, music, and all the other ingredients that flavor the righteous roux that is New Orleans,” writes T. J. English.  Sublette will also perform some of the music he writes about.
